Benefit Cosmetics launches 'Glam Up & Away' retail kiosks in Canada
Jan 30, 2018
San Francisco-based beauty brand Benefit Cosmetics is bringing its “Glam up & away” automatic retail kiosk to Calgary International Airport (YYC) this Spring.
The concept, first introduced in the U.S. market in 2013, is designed to look like a vintage pink beauty bus, but mimics a vending machine that gives instant access to Benefit's bestselling products, as well as tips and tricks through its graphic user interface.
"High-traffic airports are the next beauty battleground for prestige cosmetic brands. Benefit has been successful as the pioneer in selective makeup self-serve vending machines in U.S. airports and is excited to expand this concept into Canada," explained Jean-Andre Rougeot, Chief Executive Officer, Benefit Cosmetics, in a news statement.
Canada is the first market outside of the U.S. to install a Glam Up & Away kiosk and plans for further expansion across the country are currently in progress.
There are currently 52 Glam Up & Away locations in 34 U.S. airports and cities.
