Los Angeles-based Brock Collection has teamed up with online retailer Maisonette to debut a six-piece children's capsule collection, the first foray into childrenswear for Brock.

The limited-edition children's capsule contains scaled down versions of two shirts, two bottoms, and two dresses in the brand's signature florals. It is offered online in sizes 2 through 6 for children and is inspired directly by Brock's Spring 2018 RTW collection.

Brock co-founder Kristopher Brock said he and his wife, co-founder Laura Vassar Brock, "wanted this collection to be fun and easy." He continued, "we want the pieces to work for all children," noting that they have realized from observing their own child that children "start developing their own style at a young age."

Laura Vassar Brock said that "It has always been a dream of ours to create a children’s collection."

The four-year-old brand was approached by Maisonette founders to create the children's capsule. Maisonette co-founder Luisana Mendoza Roccia explained the fast growth opportunity of the children's market, noting that children's apparel, furniture and toys is a $300 billion global market.

Mendoza Roccia highlighted the social shift of mothers waiting to start "families later in life", which leads to them "spending more on their children than ever before."

Brock Collection's Ready-to-Wear is a celebrity favorite, with fans including Jennifer Lawrence and Selena Gomez. The children's collection is priced from $95 for linen or cotton and silk blend trousers, to $175 for cotton dresses. The styles are now available exclusively on Maisonette's site.
