In his new role, Ambroza will lead the company’s brand engagement through television commercials, retail marketing, events, social media and the direct-to-consumer business.

"Tony is a visionary marketer and retailer who has helped our 128-year-old company succeed in a new age of selling," said Carhartt President and COO Linda Hubbard.

"Tony has taken on increased leadership responsibilities within our marketing and direct to consumer teams and has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic expertise, and the ability to build strong teams that consistently exceed goals. We are recognizing Tony's leadership excellence across multiple aspects of the Carhartt organization with the new role of Chief Brand Officer."

Ambroza joined Carhartt in 2010 after stints at Under Armour and Nike. During his tenure at Carhartt, he has played an instrumental role in the expansion of the brand across product categories and in the development of the brand’s direct-to-consumer business.

Prior to the appointment, the American label entered into a partnership with Infor to streamline its operations and develop a retail and wholesale planning solution. Carhartt also announced this month that it is trying its hand at 3D modeling to produce its samples. The company is working with EFI Optitex and Shima Seiki on the technology and manufacturing method.
