Ten years after the "Sex and the City" movie opened in the US, May 30, 2008, the Vivienne Westwood fashion house has put on public display the wedding dress created for Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), the star character of the movie based on the TV show of the same name. The original dress is on show in the luxury label's New York boutique (14 E. 55th Street, New York, 10022) until June 3.

The "Cloud" wedding dress that featured in the "Sex and the City" movie was originally part of the Vivienne Westwood Gold Label fall/winter 2007-2008 collection. After being redesigned for the movie character, the dress was delivered to Carrie Bradshaw with a note penned by Vivienne Westwood in person.

The luxury label has also announced a selection of ready-to-wear pieces inspired by the wedding dress as part of its spring/summer 2018 collection. Called "Wilma," after the cutting system used to create the original gown, the collection will feature a cocktail dress, a corset and a skirt, available in-store and online at www.viviennewestwood.com.

The "Sex and the City" TV show ran for six seasons and followed four friends, all professional women with distinct personalities, living in New York.
