Feb 27, 2018
Cruelty-free affordable makeup brand ColourPop has launched at Ulta. The national launch follows last year's brick-and-mortar debut for the four-year-old LA-based brand at Sephora.
The Ulta assortment includes lip kits and eye palettes, and also contains twelve shades of shadows and four highlighter colors. The launch debuted two new lip bundles and two new highlighter palettes.
ColourPop Co-Founder and President Laura Nelson said, "As ColourPop continues to expand and branch out into new product categories, specifically in the complexion space, we wanted to provide an in-store experience that allows consumers to experiment and play in real life with our portfolio of cult favorite products for the first time."
Monica Arnaudo, Senior VP of Merchandising for Ulta Beauty said that "ColourPop is a brand that has been consistently requested by our guests and we look forward to providing an in-store experience that offers our guests the ability to test, try and play with these products."
ColourPop was founded in Los Angeles four years ago. It gained traction among Millennials and Gen-Z consumers who popularized the brand on Instagram. It currently has 5.6 million Instagram followers.
The brand's products are vegan and are priced affordably. The company says it stands for redefining luxury beauty so that it is both animal- and wallet-friendly.
Ulta is the largest beauty retailer in the US, and partnering with the chain will offer ColourPop a large network of consumer touch points across the country.
ColourPop launched at Ulta over the weekend on February 25th. Products are priced under $20.
