San Francisco, CA-based DZR has launched two limited edition clip free cycling shoes designed to be worn in varied conditions from on a bike to featuring in an everyday look.

The two new footwear styles are a high top called the Valencia and a low top reflective LTD. The reflective LTD is a slip on shoe that helps cyclists stay highly visible at night for added safety. The shoes use 3M reflective material, rated 600 luminosity, for high visibility. DZR explained, "Changing environments require a cycling sneaker to be a true shape shifter in order to charge everywhere."

The second DZR limited footwear style is a mesh high top that has a vegan faux-suede toe and heel cap. The high top has a branded logo on the heel badge that is also reflective. Both styles retail for $139.

With the reflective LTD, DZR joins other footwear brands that have experimented with using 3M material to combine fashion and safety function. 3M's reflective material got its footwear start on Saucony and New Balance running shoes in the 1970s.

Five years ago, Cole Haan launched a fully reflective line combining performance technology with 3M reflective material when it was owned by Nike. Adidas and Jordan use the material frequently for both its design and safety benefits.
