The 90s are back in force at Elie Saab, where the designer concentrated on what he does best: exuberant glamour.

Amazons marching in Amazonia, in an Avatar style set decorated with giant images of fauna and forest. Their favorite material? Tropical green leaves used in magnificent silk kaftans; sexy jumpsuits and deep gorge cocktails.

“It’s me reviving my Nineties. With a big celebration of daywear, fresh color full of life, sexy, and lots of legs,” beamed Saab.

Color-coordinated infinitely – where a studded python snakeskin bomber jacket is worn over a largely sheer silk column in the same print. Besides that his favorite color was ecru, where mini cocktails are finished with micro fringes, the better to admire the model's Amazon-worthy anatomy and never ending legs. Looks all busily applauded by Emmanuelle Béart, Olivia Palermo and... assorted amazonians.

Saab spent his summer with friends and family in Sicily and Greece. “Nowhere flash and certainly no stay in Mykonos,” smiled Saab, whose latest collection embodies the big idea of the current international runway season – the Endless Italian Summer.

Backed up by a rocking soundtrack, Glue by Bicep, and worn by a suitably aloof cast, this was great statement by Saab, a reminder that much of the market for sexy chic will always be his.
