Fashion brands are using t-shirts to support Planned Parenthood

Fashion brands are looking to graphic t-shirts to show their support of Planned Parenthood.  Both streetwear brand Married to the Mob and sustainability-centric womenswear brand Reformation have released graphic t-shirts, with a percent of the proceeds going towards Planned Parenthood.

Married to the Mob's Planned Parenthood t-shirt - Married to the Mob

Married to the Mob’s pro-period t-shirt features the words “Anything you can do I can do bleeding” in red text on a white tee. The brand’s founder Leah McSweeney told Hypebeast, ““Planned Parenthood is such an important organization for women. It is unlike any other. They offer birth control, cancer screening, STD testing and abortions at low cost for women with low income. At a time like this where everyday men are passing laws trying to stop women from getting safe abortions and when Roe v. Wade is in jeopardy, supporting Planned Parenthood in anyway we can is important.” All proceeds of the $30 t-shirt, available on Married to the Mob’s e-commerce site, will go towards Planned Parenthood.

"My Meow My Choice" t-shirt - Reformation

California's Reformation launched its own collection of politically-charged t-shirts in support of Planned Parenthood just last week. Featuring tongue-in-cheek sayings like “My Meow My Choice”, “More Trees, Less Walls”, and “I’m Just Getting Started”. $30 of the $50 retail cost of the “My Meow My Choice” shirt will go towards Planned Parenthood.

These are just two of the brands publicly supporting the work of Planned Parenthood. In an effort to speak out against the Republican plan to defund Planned Parenthood, the Council of Fashion Designers of America handed out pins and information sheets in support of the women’s health organization at New York Fashion Week.
