Customisation is becoming one of Fendi's strong suits. The Italian label now offers also to web customers the chance to enjoy its bespoke accessories service, until now available only in-store. The Roman label owned by the LVMH group has revealed its new 'Customize It' service, created thanks to an exclusive partnership with UK luxury marketplace Farfetch.

There are various options for creating a unique handbag - Fendi

The service, accessible only via fendi.com and farfetch.com, allows Fendi aficionados to create their own personalised handbags online. 'Customize It' is active on the 'Kan I F' flap handbag, for which it offers 120 different options in terms of materials, colours, logos and other details, and also the ‘Strap You’ shoulder straps.

The latter, an interchangeable set of accessories launched in 2015, already allows Fendi customers to personalise their bags by changing shoulder straps to suit their fancy, featuring two sizes and nine different types of straps. Fendi now offers a choice of 70 different solutions.

In a press release, the label emphasised that the leather craftsmen working in Fendi's Florence atelier "will assemble the customers' creations with the utmost care, hand-crafting each detail with peerless expertise and completing the product in 12 weeks."

Pietro Beccari, the CEO of Fendi, who is about to take charge of Christian Dior, said that "nowadays, personalisation is the ultimate sign of luxury for our customers."
