The Champs-Elysées in Paris have a little more of a sport/streetwear vibe. After the enlargement of the Adidas store, the opening of urban/sportswear department store Citadium and ahead of Nike's relocationFoot Locker recently inaugurated a flagship on Paris' leading shopping thoroughfare.

The US sneaker specialist set up shop at number 66, taking over the premises of a former Benetton store. Extending over two floors with a 1,500 m2 retail area, the store showcases the entire Foot Locker range of men's, women's and children's models by leading sport brands, among them Nike, Adidas, Puma, Fila and Jordan.

On the ground floor, the new store hosts a basketball-dedicated area, House of Hoops, in collaboration with Nike. The lower ground floor features the full multibrand range, with a selection of apparel alongside the ubiquitous sneakers.

The Paris flagship adds to the 130-plus stores already operated in France by Foot Locker, including Kids Foot Locker shops. Worldwide, Foot Locker operates 3,400 stores in 23 countries via all its retail brands: Foot Locker, Footaction, Lady Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Champs Sports, SIX:02, Runners Point and Sidestep. In the last quarter, the group generated a revenue of $1.87 billion, down 1%, and its profitability also fell significantly.
