Former Victoria's Secret Pink CEO tapped by Morilee bridal

Global bridal and special occasion lifestyle brand Morilee by Madeline Gardner has announced veteran fashion and bridal executive Deborah Fine as its new CEO.

Morilee by Madeline Gardner is a 70-year-old, family-owned-and-operated bridal and special occasion dress company based in New York City. It has a presence in stores in 80 countries and tapped Fine to help it grow its business in the omni-channel age of retail.

Morilee was attracted to Fine's expertise in sales, business development, digital marketing and operational efficiency. Fine said her goals for the company include leading growth of "global business via expansion of distribution channels, new collections, and new geographies."

Fine is an accomplished CEO, having first assumed the role of chief executive in 2005 for Victoria's Secret Pink. She was the founder and president of Avon Mark Cosmetics, president of iVillage at NBC Universal Digital Media, and president and CEO of Direct Brands which is the parent company to Columbia House and Doubleday.

She was EVP of Modell's Sporting Goods and most recently the CEO of e-commerce premium jewelry brand Ritani. Fine also has an extensive background in both bridal and fashion publishing.

Mitchell Udell, Chairman of the Board of Morilee By Madeline Gardner, will work alongside Fine in her new role leading the company. He pointed out that Fine's "unique knowledge of the industry" and her "track record of driving transformation, growth and profit" will help Morilee continue to lead the global bridal market.

Morilee offers five different bridal lines including a plus size collection. The brand has been designed for the past 25 years by FIT graduate Madeline Gardner. She also designs prom, quinceañera, evening and bridesmaid dresses, and accessories for Morilee.
