American heritage label Frye opened this week its second New York City retail location at 144 Fifth Avenue in Flatiron. The new store joins the brand’s SoHo and Roosevelt Field stores as the sole retail locations in New York.

The new Flatiron store stands at 2,000 square feet and features a black exterior façade and a mosaic on the entrance floor, dark wood floors, wooden shelves, white brick walls, brown leather couches and wooden dividers throughout the space.

The label’s fall collection is available in store, including leather boots, heels, shoes, sneakers and bags for men and women. The women’s assortment occupies most of the selling floor and leads to the men’s offering at the rear of the store. According to a store associate, the Flatiron store carries a curated selection of the fall collection, while the SoHo store on Spring Street carries the full collection.

Authentic Brands Group acquired a majority stake in Frye in late April and currently co-owns the brand with Global Brands Group. The new Flatiron store marks the first Frye store to open since the acquisition and the 16th store to open in the US.

Frye currently operates stores in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Georgetown in Washington DC, Lexington, KY, Nashville, Tysons Corner in Virginia, San Francisco and Seattle.
