Vancouver-based made-to-measure menswear retailer Indochino has opened its first permanent showroom in the Washington area as the company continues to expand across North America.

The 2,500-square-foot space opened on the second floor of the Tysons Galleria on Monday, a premier shopping destination in the area.

The company’s newest showroom comes after a series of successful pop-up stores in the Washington, DC area in recent years, as well as strong online sales from the market.

"Since the beginning, Indochino has had a loyal and growing clientele of savvy Washingtonians who are keenly aware of our superior alternative to off the rack clothing and expensive custom options," said Drew Green, CEO of Indochino, in a news statement. "With a history of highly successful pop ups in DC and a huge number of locals who update their wardrobes regularly via their online profile, we are extremely pleased to finally build a permanent showroom in the region and give our DMV clients the hands-on attention and selection that they deserve and desire."

At the Indochino showrooms, customers are paired with a Style Guide who helps them design their suit or shirt. Style Guides take measurements, assist with fabric selection, and more. Each garment is made-to-order and delivered within four weeks.

This month, Indochino equally opened its first showroom in Chicago and plans to open second locations in New York and Philadelphia. The retailer is currently undergoing a North American expansion, which will double its store count to 17 locations by the end of the year.

Indochino first launched in 2007 as an online retailer before opening its first permanent bricks-and-mortar location in 2014, in Vancouver.
