Womenswear retailer Long Tall Sally has acquired Dutch rival Pretty Tall to supports its growth ambitions in the Netherlands.

Long Tall Sally has acquired Pretty Tall for an undisclosed sum

The company launched its Dutch website and local operation earlier this year. Its presence in the Netherlands will be further boosted when Long Tall Sally styles launch in Pretty Tall’s two stores in Hoofddorp and Apeldoorn this month.

From 2018, Pretty Tall brands will be also available to shop online at Long Tall Sally’s Dutch site.

“Joining forces with Pretty Tall is a natural development of our strategy to be the first choice in fashion for tall women worldwide. Our collection of the world’s largest range of clothing and footwear designed specifically for tall women has already been very well received in the Netherlands and will now be complemented by Pretty Tall’s well curated offering,” said Andrew Shapin, CEO.

“This is an incredibly exciting step,” says Pretty Tall founder Inez Scheper. “Together we are stronger. We look forward to offering all tall women in the Netherlands beautiful product and outstanding service – both online and in store.”

Scheper and her team of 13 store colleagues will remain in place, according to a press release.
