Macy’s on Monday announced the appointment of Cheryl Heinonen to Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, effective January 9, 2017. She will be based in New York City and will report to Macy’s President Jeff Gennette, who becomes CEO in early 2017.
As EVP of Corporate Communications, Heinonen will drive the strategic narrative of the company and integrate all internal communication into one cohesive strategy. In addition, Heinonen will be responsible for internal and external corporate communications, corporate giving, corporate social responsibility, diversity and associate giving and volunteerism.
