New York-based label Mansur Gavriel has opened its first brick and mortar boutique on the West Coast on Melrose Place in West Hollywood. The new boutique offers the label's ready-to-wear, a cafe, and a flower shop on site.

The new store expands the brand's retail experience - Mansur Gavriel

Unlike the brand's two New York stores, which exclusively offer the brand's ready-to-wear, the 4,000-square-foot LA store will offer a broader shopping experience. It will offer exclusive pieces made from vintage Italian fabrics, a pink protea flower monogram motif exclusive to the LA store, and a hand-painted monogramming service.

The LA store will also evolve to have a marketplace of curated items selected by the founders Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel on their travels. Gavriel explained the market assortment will include pieces such as "glassware and linens, and also dishes that we’ve designed and are made in Italy, as well.”

The LA Mansur Gavriel has a cafe, Café Flora, whose menu was created with Tartine chef Scott Boggs. The cafe will offer soup, pasta, salad and pastries and extend into the boutique's courtyard.

Speaking of the choice to create the outdor cafe space, the brand explained, "The nature and light in Los Angeles is pure and beautiful; the combination creates an emotion we find very inspiring.”

Opening an LA boutique was a way the label could expand its physical experience. The shop measures 2,500 square feet inside, while the landscaped courtyard adds another 1,300 square feet of open air space to the store.

The new Mansur Gavriel is located at 8475 Melrose Place in West Hollywood. It is now open.
