NYC Trade Show brings success to Quebec designers

Organized by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal’s team of international trade experts and the World Trade Centre Montreal, several Quebec designers attended New York’s Trade Show, Moda, last week, and saw much success.
 
Michel Leblanc, president and CEO of the board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal, says the 10 Quebec businesses that attended, together accumulated sales of more than 370 000 dollars during the three-day event, and potential future sales of 300 000 dollars.

“New York is a difficult market to establish yourself in Fashion, but it’s the North American city where our companies absolutely have to be present,” Leblanc explains.
 
Valery Geoffroy, the owner and designer of Furlux says in a news statement that she had a great experience. Highlighting that she fostered new relationships and was inspired to see what else was happening in the world of design.

The Quebec companies that attended were Angela Mara, Capital Garment, Crystal Fashions, Dino Gaspari, Furlux, Libra, Myco Anna, Scapa Lauren Perre, Simon Chang, and Vin Rouge. 

This was the fifth consecutive trade mission to New York organized for Quebec designers.
