New Avon LLC on Wednesday announced the appointment of Anjana Srivastava to the newly-established role of US President of Health and Wellness. The appointment doubles as Avon’s expansion into the Health and Wellness market.

In the new role, Srivastava will lead the health and wellness vision for the company and will be responsible for building the team and strategy for the expansion. She will lead the team that will identify new product opportunities and bring innovative products to the market. Srivastava will also report to New Avon LLC CEO and New Avon Leadership Team member Scott White.

Prior to joining Avon, Srivastava served as Chief Product Officer and Head of the Scientific Advisory Board at NeoLife International, and held leadership positions at NeoLife such as Executive Vice President for the North America market and Executive Vice President of Product, Science and Technology. Srivastava is an accomplished scientist and direct selling industry veteran with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, a Master of Science in Botany, and a Master of Business Administration.

In 2016, Avon appointed Scott White as CEO and Helene F. Rutledge as Chief Innovation Officer after the company was formed through Avon Products and Cerberus Capital Management. New Avon, which is comprised of Avon North America (US, Canada and Puerto Rico), is privately owned by Cerberus, which owns 80.1% of the business.

In March, New Avon issued a statement saying that it will not be impacted by the Avon Products, Inc. three-year transformation plan. Avon Products’ plan is intended to improve company cost structure and reinvest its growth to media, social selling and information technology systems that will modernize the business.

Avon met expectations in the second quarter, but its total revenue fell with revenue decreasing in North America, Asia Pacific and the EMEA region. The company will hold a third quarter 2016 earnings conference call on Thursday, November 3.
