For three days the British shoe designer will offer a customization studio at Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship store in New York City. The custom shoe studio celebrates the 10th anniversary of Saks’ 10022-Shoe.

At the shoe floor of Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship store, shoppers will find a large digital screen where they can make custom versions of Nicholas Kirkwood’s Beya mule and loafer shoes. Shoppers can choose from different patterns and colors for the shoe’s body, customize the thread color and choose to include their initials in the shoe.

Kirkwood first offered the customization service in an online version through Farfetch. Speaking earlier this year, Kirkwood said the customization options are still something of an experiment.

The custom shoe service is meant to celebrate 10 years of Saks Fifth Avenue’s entire floor dedicated to shoes, known as 10022-Shoe. In August, Saks also introduced many exclusive styles from designers such as Christian Louboutin and Sergio Ross to celebrate the anniversary. Kirkwood also created an exclusive shoe design for the store.

Stuart Weitzman unrolled a similar customization service earlier this year, allowing shoppers to design their own version of some of his iconic silhouettes online. Nike also offers customizable shoes through its Nikeid service.
