Nordstrom opens Céline pop-up at Seattle flagship

Nordstrom's downtown Seattle flagship store has opened a Céline pop-up personally curated by Nordstrom's Olivia Kim, featuring Céline ready-to-wear, shoes, jewelry, handbags and accessories.

The assortment juxtaposes tees and jeans with bags and baroque earrings. Handbags, small leather goods, sneakers and sunglasses are included, as is a clear plastic branded bodega bag. A capsule collection of exclusive product is also on offer at the shop.

According to Nordstrom, the Céline x Nordstrom pop-up focuses on wearability. Kim, Nordstrom's VP of Creative Projects, who is known for the brand's Pop In concept curated the pop-up shop with a goal of increasing accessibility to the brand.

For the space, the pop-up aims to stay true to the Céline aesthetic but be more inviting than the brand's boutiques. Tactile materials such as soft felt line the walls, while with marble, stone, lacquer and plexi characterize the rest of the shop. Kim explained her own journey with the brand helped shape the space. 

This is currently the only US location planned for the Céline x Nordstrom pop-up. Customers can, however, order the product in the pop-up over the phone and Nordstrom will ship the product nationally.

The pop-up opened this weekend and will run though May 29th. It will then travel to Nordstrom’s Vancouver, Canada store at Pacific Centre in July for another few months.
