P&G has found a successor for Patrice Louvet as Head of Beauty with 28-year company veteran R. Alexandra Keith.

R. Alexandra Keith will assume the role of Head of Beauty at P&G on July 1.

Keith, who will assume her new role on July 1, currently serves as President, Global Skin & Personal Care. As Head of Beauty, she will oversee the $11.5 billion business that includes brands Head & Shoulders, Pantene, Old Spice, and Olay among others, and she will report directly to CEO David Taylor.

P&G also named Markus Strobel as Keith’s successor and named Jon Moeller Vice Chairman, in addition to his duties as Chief Financial Officer.

Throughout her career with P&G, the University of Arizona graduate has held various positions in skin and personal care of increasing responsibility, including Marketing Director, North America Personal Cleansing; GM, North America Deodorants, and Global Brand Franchise Leader, Old Spice; and VP, Beauty and Grooming Breakthrough. She also served as VP/GM North America Fabric Care & Global Brand Franchise Leader, Downy/Lenor from 2010 to 2014.

The appointment of Keith follows P&G’s 8.3% decrease in third quarter profit, a 1% decrease in net sales, and a decrease in net income to $2.52 billion. The company said with its results that it plans to save $10 billion in costs over the next five years, and to use a portion of the savings to improve packaging, R&D and sales.
