Recently launched Quebec-based sustainable fashion brand, Gaia & Dubos, is gearing up to open its first storefront under a very original format.

Baptized Le 598, the store, located in Quebec City, will open in a shared concept space with eco-friendly cleaner Net-Top and sewing company L’idée à Coudre.

The space, co-founded by Gaia & Dubos, will act as a one-stop destination to shop, to clean and to repair your clothes – a concept not yet available in Quebec’s national capital.

Pioneered by designer Léonie Daignault-Leclerc, Gaia & Dubos launched its first sustainable and ethical high-end garment collection for women last May.

The entire line is based on sustainable practices with all items produced in Quebec and entirely made of sustainable materials such as milk fibre, organic cotton, linen, recycled polyester and organic silk. Inventory is limited, with most items created made-to-measure to avoid waste.

To date, the line has only been available online on gaiaetdubos.com, making the new concept shop a first for the brand. The opening of a storefront is expected to be a key element for the brands foray, which will welcome many locals and international tourists during the summer season.

The concept space will officially open on April 26 with a launch event. It’s located at 598 rue St-Jean, Quebec.
