RVCA's newest collaboration is with Northern California visual artist Tahiti Pehrson, famous for his geometric-shaped, hand-cut paper art.

Anya Violet, RVCA women’s design director said, "the laser cut detail on some of the pieces mimic his paper cut art, and we kept almost every piece grounded in white and very clean and minimalistic to really allow the garments to be a canvas for his artwork."

Pehrson is experiencing a moment in the art community now, with a current exhibit at RVCA's VASF gallery in San Francisco. Previously he has shown in Northern California in 2014 in San Jose, in SF for the SF Art Commission's “Sea of Love” installation, and had a solo show at the Salon 91 Gallery in Cape Town, South Africa.

Pehrson said of his work, “During the past ten years I have tried to push the scale and detail in the work as well as to experiment with the crafting process and take this opportunity to test my own limits. The new projects I've been working on involve transferring the cut-paper work into different scales and materials, including aluminum, acrylic and fabrics."

The RVCA x Tahiti Pehrson collection consists of a capsule of 5 tops, a dress and a beach towel. It is available now on RVCA's website.
