RYU Apparel continues rapid growth in Canada

Vancouver-based athletic brand RYU Apparel Inc (Respect Your Universe) announced on Tuesday the opening of a new store in West Vancouver's Park Royal Shopping Centre, marking the first of three stores set to open this year.  
 
Located at 2002 Park Royal South, the 3,967-square-foot space is the retailer’s third retail location and first foray into the West Vancouver market. Similarly to other RYU stores, the new store was designed with functionality in mind and features dedicated spaces for special events within the fitness community.
 

"We are thrilled to continue the rapid expansion of our brick and mortar stores within our community in conjunction with our on-line growth," says Marcello Leone, CEO for RYU, in a news statement. We've received immense support and positive feedback from the Vancouver fitness community since we first launched in 2015 and we are excited to extend our presence into West Vancouver."
 
This spring, RYU will also be expanding into the Eastern Canadian market with the opening of its first Toronto location and first location outside of the province of British-Columbia. The 2,200-square-foot space will be located on Toronto's Queen Street West strip. What’s more, the retailer also plans to open another location in British-Columbia at Metropolis at Metrotown in Burnaby, bringing RYU’s total store count to five locations.
