2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist Sandy Liang presented her tenth collection on Sunday at The Standard East Village.

The native New Yorker debuted the collection with a small party at Narcbar, one of the hotel’s many bars, which managed to hold guests such as Julie Gilhart, Mickey Boardman, Steven Kolb, Gigi Burris, Timo Weiland, Leandra Medine, Mira Moretti, and Palmoa Elsesser among others.

The spring 2018 collection focused on a tailored silhouette and the tension between material and embellishment. Liang, who studied at the Rhode Island School of Design for architecture and later Parsons School of Design for fashion, introduced color-blocked oversized knit polo shirts this season, complimented by statement leather jackets and shearling jackets.

Denim was a huge component of the collection as well and featured Swarovski crystal details and metal loops, as well as deep pockets with an “xx” detail in reference to how women sign their e-mails.
