Courrèges, Ellery, Maison Rabih Kayrouz, Paco Rabanne, Valentin Yudashkin and Yang Li are the six new members joining the French Federation of Fashion and of Ready-to-Wear Couturiers and Fashion Designers.

The Chambre Syndicale executive committee, which met on Friday June 3, elected the six as official group members, making the announcement via a press release.

Yang Li, a designer born in Peking and raised in London, has already been showing for several seasons in the capital. The other new member designers, however, began just recently on the Paris circuit.

That's the case for Courrèges, which made its grand return to the runway in September 2015, under the direction of Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant.

It's also true for Australian designer Kym Ellery, who - after showing off the official calendar - joined the program in September 2014. Trained at the famous Central Saint Martins fashion school, the designer launched her brand in 2007 and took home the Woolmark Award in 2010.

Lebanese designer Rabih Kayrouz, meanwhile, started out in France in July 2009, but in Haute Couture, transitioning onto the ready-to-wear schedule in February 2012.

Russian couturier Valentin Yudashkin also began in Haute Couture and even showed his ready-to-wear collection for a time in Milan before returning to Paris.

Overall, the Chambre Syndicale (French Federation of Fashion and of Ready-to-Wear Couturiers and Fashion Designers) boasts one hundred members.
