Skechers continues partnership with the Houston Marathon

Skechers has announced it will once again be partnering with the Houston Marathon and Half Marathon taking place on January 15th. On January 13th and 14th, the footwear giant will be showing off its newest wares at the Houston Marathon expo, where Skechers Performance will debut a new collection of limited-edition, Houston-themed apparel and footwear.

Wade Morehead, Executive Director of the Houston Marathon Committee and Foundation said, “Entering our fourth year as partners, Skechers continuously exceeds expectations in regards to activation, advertising, branding and merchandising around our event, and their increased support of the Houston Marathon Foundation’s We Run Houston after-school running program has helped us truly make a difference for children across the region.”

Some of the limited-edition merchandise available to runners and spectators for purchase: the newest Gorun 5 and Forza 2 sneakers and Houston Marathon-branded performance apparel and accessories, including windbreakers, leggings, zip-up jacket, and tank tops, as well as small racing accessories such as running belts, hats, socks, and gear cinch bags.

Skechers will also be sponsoring and outfitting marathon participants and Olympic athletes Meb Keflezighi and Kara Gouche, as well as Los Angeles Marathon champion Weldon Kirui.
