On day two, the Future of Fashion Forum will take place and will include presentations and a panel discussion around the evolving changes in the fashion industry, while on day three, the Business of Fashion Conference will feature insights on topics such as trend forecasting and social media marketing for fashion brands.

On day four, the Eco Fashion Forum will take place where ethical practices in fashion will de discussed. Finally, day five will close the event with a runway show where collections from six emerging Canadian apparel designers, four accessory designers and two wearable tech startups will hit the runway.

The main goal of SFW is to provide visibility to emerging designers and startups.

“I’m proud and excited to once again offer a platform for startups in fashion and fashion-tech to increase their exposure within the industry,” said Jodi Goodfellow, Founder and Executive Producer of SFW. “Over the past 3 years Startup Fashion Week has helped launch and accelerate awareness for 20+ designers, 28 fashion-tech startups, 100+ emerging models and we are thrilled to maintain the position as a key driver for creating successful Canadian businesses in the fashion industry.”

The event will include speakers such as Camille Kowalewski, Head of Communications at eBay Canada; Amanda Cosco, Founder of Electric Runway; Lee McLaven, President and Owner of Laven Labels, and more.

SFW represents the newly developed intersection of fashion, business and technology. It was conceived in 2014 by founder and executive producer Jodi Goodfellow.

For the first time this year, the event expanded and launched in Montreal.
