Tilley launches new ecommerce platform

Canadian company Tilley Endurables, known for the iconic Tilley Hat, announced on Tuesday the launch of a new eCommerce website at Tilley.com.
 
“We are continually striving to move the company forward and a new website delivering a best in class client experience is a necessary next step for us,” explained Andrew Prendergast, CEO at Tilley Endurables, in a news statement.
 
“As a brand, we are proud of our level of craftsmanship and quality and we wanted to ensure that was reflected in our ecommerce site,” he added.

The newly renovated website features a new interface with practical features to enhance customer’s online shopping experience. One of the newest features includes a digital hat sizer, which includes a step by step video to assist customers in properly measuring their head in order to find their appropriate Tilley hat size. The process seeks to provide customers with a comparable purchase assurance to shopping in store.
 
The new site equally features a “#tilleylife” section, showcasing Tilley fans on outdoor adventures in their brand hats and apparel, as well as customer profiles and a “How To” section for tips on everything from how to care for Tilley products to how to get the most from outdoor adventures.

The relaunch of the website also includes the introduction of a new line of apparel. Baptized the Wanderer Collection, the collection was built with travelers in mind including items with storage for key essentials, security, ease of care and comfort through a range of conditions. Most recently, Tilley equally extended its product line with items targeted at a younger demographic.
 
Tilley’s website reinvention will continue through the summer. Additional enhancements are expected to launch in early July and will include a shopable social media feed, e-boutiques, size chart pop-ups and more.
 
Tilley was founded in 1980 with the iconic Tilley Hat, and later expanded to travel clothing and accessories in 1984. The company was acquired by Re:Capital in 2015.
