Under Armour announced on Monday a global partnership with actor and former professional wrestler, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Johnson first announced the partnership via social media in October.

As per the partnership, Johnson will play an integral role in the creation of a range of products including footwear, apparel and accessories, and he will have a major role in the promotion of Under Armour’s Connected Fitness platforms that recently debuted the Under Armour HealthBox and Record applications. The first product capsule will feature a Rock-inspired backpack and duffle bag that will launch on the Under Armour website and at select Brand Houses in the coming weeks.

The Baltimore-based athletic company also enrolled Johnson to help support and drive awareness for Under Armour’s UA Freedom initiative that has been developed to inspire, honor and support members of the US Military, first responders and public safety officials.

Johnson had a substantial career as The Rock on WWE television where he became a seven-time WWE Champion in a span of 4 years. During his time with the WWE, he kicked off his movie career in The Mummy series, and after retiring from wrestling full-time, he regularly starred in the Fast & Furious movie series. He was ranked number one on Forbes’ Top Grossing Actors of 2013 and was named the Top International Box Office Star for 2015.

Johnson takes to social media to promote health and fitness and continues to motivate, empower and inspire people around the world through health and fitness.

The partnership adds Johnson to Under Armour’s all-star roster that includes Stephen Curry, Tom Brady, Cam Newton, Misty Copeland, Jordan Spieth, Lindsey Vonn, Andy Murray and Michael Phelps.
