The two-level, 130,000-square-foot store will be the retailer's seventh location in the state.

The new store will offer a variety of apparel, shoes, accessories and home goods from brands like Vineyard Vines, Bobbi Brown, Peter Millar, Kendra Scott, Lilly Pulitzer and Kate Spade. In addition, the Orland Square location will have special brand offerings like Miss Selfridge, Masai and an assortment of vintage luxury handbags and jewelry.

The store will feature a contemporary interior design, and will give customers access to the company's interest-free charge card, return policy, free gift wrapping and shipping services.

"We are thrilled to expand our presence in Illinois, especially at one of the premier shopping destinations in the Chicago suburbs," said Jim von Maur, president of Von Mau, in a release. "Orland Square's convenient location and high-volume of shoppers makes this a fantastic fit."

This progress follows just days after the opening of Von Maur's new Rosedale, Minnesota store, and continues to advance the company's national growth strategy.

The department store is set to open another new store in Michigan in 2019.
