Woolmark names International Prize USA Regional final judging panel

Woolmark announced this week the judging panel for the International Woolmark Prize 2016/17 USA regional final.



 
The judging panel includes, Andre Leon Talley, fashion author, editor and consultant, Vogue podcast host and contributing editor, and former American Vogue Editor-at-Large; Jason Wu, Founder and Creative Director of Jason Wu and Artistic Director at Hugo Boss; Julie Gilhart, fashion consultant and International Woolmark Prize mentor; Laura Brown, Executive Editor at Harper’s Bazaar; Malcolm Carfrae, Founder of Carfrae Consulting and International Woolmark Prize mentor; Marc Karimzadeh, Editorial and Communications Director at the CFDA; Michelle A. Lee, Head of Americas at The Woolmark Company; Nick Sullivan, Fashion Director at Esquire; Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, Founders of Public School and Creative Directors of DKNY; Robbie Myers, Editor-in-Chief at Elle Magazine; Stefano Tonchi, Editor-in-Chief at W Magazine; and Steven Kolb, CEO of the CFDA.
 
This marks as the first time Wu, Brown, Karimzadeh, Myers, Chow and Osborne have been added to the Woolmark Prize judging panel. Chow and Osborne also won the International Woolmark Prize in 2015. In addition, Talley, Gilhart, Carfrae, Lee, Sullivan, Tonchi and Kolb were on the judging panel for the 2015/16 season.

The Woolmark Company in April named the USA nominees for the 2016/17 International Woolmark Prize, which includes Gabriella Hearst, Sylvie Millstein of Hellessy, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia of Monse, Nelly Partow, Sally LaPointe, Abdul Abasi and Greg Rosborough of Abasi Rosborough, Scot Shandalove and Jake Zeitlin of Matiere, Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss, Laurence Chandler and Joshua Cooper of Rochambeau and Ant de Padovane, Jacob Wills and Joshua Wills of Second/Layer.
