Carhartt has brought in rap legend Eminem for a line of collaborative t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats in support of a local Detroit charity.

Eminem x Carhartt for E13 - Carhartt

Eminem was first brought in for the charitable collaboration, called E13, back in November. The first leg of the collaboration raised funds for a community music project in Detroit through the sales of a co-branded sneaker.

Tony Ambroza, senior vice president of marketing at Carhartt, told the press,"This fundraising effort between Carhartt and The Marshall Mathers Foundation ensures those in pursuit of their dreams are put in the position to learn the fundamentals necessary to succeed."

The E13 name comes from a play on Detroit’s area code – relating back to both Carhartt and Eminem’s devltion to the city. The rap star is a Detroit native and his 'Eight Mile' film was created after the infamous stretch of road outside the city.

The collaboration is sold exclusively at the Detroit Carhartt store starting this Monday.

Carhartt, founded in 1889, is an American workwear brand. While Carhartt has roots in blue collar wear, the workwear brand's staple pants and work jackets started to take off in the 1990s, first embraced by the skateboard community and the European indie scene..
