Following the appointment of A$AP Rocky as PacSun’s debut guest artistic director, the youth-focused fashion retailer has revealed the first fruits of the partnership: two collaborative capsules bringing together the rapper’s A$AP Worldwide label with iconic footwear and apparel brand Vans and sports heritage label Russell Athletic.

The collab with Vans includes two versions of the classic Old Skool silhouette, one in black canvas, the other in white leather. Both feature flame decorations. Prices for the shoes, which are available in sizes 4 to 13, range from $100 to $130.

The Russell Athletic x A$AP Worldwide capsule consists of t-shirts, shorts, pullover hoodies and sweatpants, and features a color palette dominated by black, white, rust, bright blue and green. The collection’s fleece offering is made from premium cotton jersey fleece and is decorated with a new all-over skull print. Pieces in the capsule are available in unisex sizes XS-XL and are priced between $40 and $90.

“We're thrilled to continue our partnership with Rocky in this new role, he is the perfect combination of high fashion and streetwear appeal,” said PacSun co-CEO Alfred Chang in a release. “Rocky's energy and outlook on culture really translates in his designs, and we're looking forward to our customers embracing it as much as we do and sharing the unique product offerings and collaborations that they're always looking for.”

The release of the collections is promoted with an exclusive short film directed by Aisultan Seitov and Rocky. The film, which is inspired by classic 90s comedies Richie Rich and Blank Check, features a new, previously unreleased song by the rapper.

As PacSun’s guest artistic director, Rocky will also oversee the brand campaign and in-store activations supporting the launch of the collections.

Both capsules are now available on PacSun’s e-commerce website, as well as in 200 of its brick-and-mortar stores across the United States.
