Adidas calls it a day for SLVR

Published

Adidas has pulled its high end sportswear line SLVR from production, with the current autumn-winter 2013/2014 collection being the last. Launched in 2009 and seen as somewhat of a design playground for Adidas’ Sport Style division artistic director, the line was sold at the company’s flagship stores and via standalone stores in Berlin and New York.

A spokesperson for the brand said that Adidas wishes to focus its attention on its collaborations with designers such as Opening Ceremony, Raf Simons and Rick Owens.

Other changes at the company include converting its Miami store into a space dedicated to Stella McCartney for Adidas. The SLVR store in Berlin will be rebuilt into a trends store in which the company will showcase its Y-3 brand and its various collaborations.
