New York-based lifestyle concept Alife and the Kontoor Brands-owned jeans label Lee have partnered up for a co-branded denim-focused capsule collection celebrating the two brands’ respective anniversaries.

The collection, which commemorates 130 years of the Lee brand and the 20th anniversary of Alife, takes its inspiration from landmark moments in the heritage denim label’s history, such as its patenting of the Union-Alls jumpsuit over a century ago, as well as its involvement in the NYC hip-hop scene in the 80s and 90s.

The capsule’s key pieces include tapered jean and jacket combos in corduroy and selvedge denim, a Buddy Lee tee and an Alife/Lee pullover hoodie. The corduroy pieces are available in either blue or “Bittersweet” oxblood, while the jeans and jacket in selvedge denim can be bought in either medium worn or rigid worn washes.

Prices range from $49 for the Buddy t-shirt to $260 for the selvedge denim jacket.

The fabric used in the collection was sourced from Cone Mills White Oak Plant, the last selvedge denim mill in the U.S., which closed permanently in 2017.

The Alife x Lee capsule collection is available to purchase now at the Alife store in New York, as well as online on the Alife and Lee e-commerce websites.
