Barneys opens men’s store in SF

Barneys New York has opened its first stand alone men’s shop in the chain's history in San Francisco’s Union Square, adjacent to its 9 year old flagship on Stockton St.

The new space occupies the former Ferrari boutique, and is two levels and 19,000 square feet. It frees up space on the top two floors of the flagship for a Fred’s restaurant, which is a destination for power lunches in NY, Beverly Hills and Chicago.

Tom Kalenderian, EVP and general merch manager for men’s at Barneys said, “this will be an opportunity for Barneys New York to expand the presentation and assortment of men’s fashion accessories, footwear and apparel to enhance the customer experience.”

Union Square hosts several stand alone men’s locations, from Macy’s men’s to Saks Fifth Avenue men’s, which will be moving back into its flagship location across the park from Barneys, there is a major stand alone men’s fashion scene in SF.
