Bata shoe museum to open special exhibition by Marco Sassone

To celebrate Italian Heritage Month this June, the Bata shoe museum, located in Toronto, is opening a special exhibition by artist Marco Sassone.

 
The exhibition titled Maro Sassone: His Boots and Other Works will feature his collection of new paintings including several pieces “each connected by the concept of departure and arrival, symbolic of the artist’s own journey.” The featured pieces were inspired by Sassone’s love of fashion and footwear, as well as the museum’s current exhibition on men’s heels.
 
Sassone is originally from Florence and is now based in Toronto. In the past, his work has been exhibited in the United States and Europe.

The exhibition will be open at the Bata Shoe Museum from June 9 to September 5.
