According to a press statement, the new platform aims to teach visitors about complex concepts and ingredients within the clean beauty segment through an interactive curriculum of video content, experiential events and contributions from a community of industry experts.

Platform partners include Biossance’s first brand ambassador, Jonathan Van Ness, as well as Nneka Leiba, vice president of the Environmental Working Group; Debbie Levin, chief executive officer of the Environmental Media Association; and Tara Foley, founder and chief executive officer of clean beauty supply store, Follain, among others.

The platform is accessible at cleanacademy.com.

"The Clean Academy is the modern expression of our leadership in the clean beauty space," said Catherine Gore, president of Biossance.

"We've put our focus on creating fact-based content that cuts through the jargon and addresses the biggest questions and concerns voiced by consumers in a rapidly growing – and increasingly complex – segment of the beauty industry. It's about helping them make better, cleaner choices for their best skin that still fit their lifestyle."

Biossance said that the platform “will continuously update content to address new developments in ingredients, clarify terminology and provide actionable advice for going greener in every area of life.”

As a further boost to the launch, the brand said it plans to hold The Clean Academy events, post social content and offer unspecified exclusive opportunities in the coming months.
