BoohooMan is tackling boredom during the coronavirus lockdown with yellow bandana prints, tie-dyed elements and camo face masks.

The items are part of the men’s fashion brand’s second collaboration with American rapper Quavo, launching this Wednesday online following  “enormous demand” for his debut collection.

Streetwear influences run throughout the extensive 100-piece collection, which was designed by the 29-year-old member of the hip hop and rap music trio Migos. It includes ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories, with items such as chained sunglasses, printed slides and belt bags providing the finishing touches.

“The success of the first drop was huge. After persistent demand from our consumers and Huncho’s fans, Quavo and I knew we had to drop a part 2,” said Samir Kamani, chief executive of BoohooMan.

The retailer is thought to have offered Quavo a six-figure sum to create his first collection, which launched with 200 pieces in April 2019.

“Collaborating with BoohooMan is special because they just really are the first team that let me open my creative mindset and just bring my ideas to life,” said the rapper.

“When I met the team they were young and represented the culture so I thought, OK, we can collaborate and do something special. I’m happy for it to come around again. This time it’s better!”

Since its launch nearly four years ago, BoohooMan has collaborated with major rap artists including French Montana, Tyga and Rae Sremmurd.

Head of design at BoohooMan, Shane Chin, commented: “Working on this second drop with Quavo came so naturally to all involved. Quavo has a really distinctive style, so despite the majority of it being striking, it is ultimately all very wearable, which is what we do best – provide products that speak to the uniqueness in us all.”
