Canadian designer Jessica Jensen closes up shop

Canadian designer, Jessica Jensen, announced on Tuesday that she will be retiring her namesake brand.
 
In a statement shared on her Twitter page, the handbag designer announced that she will stop producing and selling the Jessica Jensen Collection, as of March 5, 2016.

 
“After nearly a decade, I have made a decision to close Jessica Jensen Collection,” she wrote. “Together, we made over 100,000 bags.”
 
Jensen launched her label in 2008. Since then, her designs have been featured at Toronto Fashion Week, on the pages of Vogue and Elle Magazine as well as on celebrities such as Sarah McLachlan, and Katie Holmes.

On her Facebook page, she said she was now looking forward to her future as President of JJN Studios Inc, a company she started with her life partner, 12 years ago.
