Organized by the Friday Harbour Fashion Collective in partnership with the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA), this August, the lifestyle resort and community's new Pier will transform into a fashion runway to showcase collections from established and emerging Canadian designers.

Starting August 14, followed by an encore date on August 21, the Friday Harbour Fashion Collective series will feature two different in-person fashion shows highlighting a line-up of designers and retailers curated by CAFA.

The line up is set to feature fashion shows by Steven Lejambe, Narces, RVNG Couture, Kaela Kay, Christopher Bates, Rita Tesolin, Noize, House of Hayla, Bikini Haus, Alan Anderson, and several other emerging brands.

The Friday Harbour Fashion Collective series will equally house a live pop-up retail market running both weekends including apparel, accessories, and lifestyle vendors from local industry talent such as Anavi Designs, Anu Raina, Lisa Gozlan Jewelry, Preloved, and more.

"The fashion industry has been deeply impacted over the past 18 months and this event series marks our ongoing support for the design and retail industry—in a stunning new setting that offers an escape from the city with all the luxe amenities of urban life,” said Friday Harbour's CEO Hani Roustom.

"CAFA is thrilled to partner with Friday Harbour on this unique initiative and in such an extraordinary backdrop. Not only does it create amazing visibility and increased awareness for our Canadian retailers and designers, but it also provides a great opportunity for these brands to showcase and connect with new audiences and consumers," added CAFA president Vicky Milner.

Located in the town of Innisfil, Ontario, the event is open to the public where visitors can also enjoy other Friday Harbour signature attractions, including The Boardwalk, the waterfront Beach Club restaurant, marina and a selection of curated retail outlets.

While the pandemic canceled the 2020 edition of CAFA, the event continued its celebrations virtually in May where it recognized Canada’s top designers and fashion industry professionals from categories such as womenswear, menswear, accessories, and more.
