Having put the childrenswear aside for a decade, the fashion house Christian Lacroix has signed a worldwide licensing agreement with Camfoni for the design, manufacture and distribution of a childrenswear collection.

The line will be launched in spring 2016 and will be presented from June 25-27 at Pitti Bimbo in Florence. It will include both apparel and accessories for boys and girls from 3 months to 3 years old and will also include birth gifts. The line will gradually be extended to include juniors.

And, as a preview for the new collection, Christian Lacroix Paris gift boxes (containing pajamas, beanies, baby bottles and other baby toys), will become available in June abroad as well as in France in Christian Lacroix Parisian store and on the website Melijoe.

Behind the new Christian Lacroix children’s collection: Camfoni, a company created in December 2014 by Laurent Cambuzat, Loetitia Fontugne and Marie-Ange Negroni. The trio is composed of specialists in children's fashion and luxury.

Cambuzat has worked on the international business development of high-end brands such as Baby Dior, Burberry and Cacharel. Fontugne, meanwhile, has managed the marketing and strategic development of Baby Dior, Hermès, Lenôtre and Cacharel. Finally, Marie-Ange Negroni, previously oversaw the design office of the childrenswear line Baby Dior/Dior for 15 years, besides holding various other positions.

Christian Lacroix is currently Camfoni’s only license, although it intends to expand its high-end childrenswear license portfolio.
