As of April 8, the affordable Danielle Bernstein brand will be available exclusively on shopweworewhat.com, the fashion blog and e-commerce site, first launched by Bernstein. We Wore What is home to other collections and exclusive launches. Most recently, during the pandemic, it launched activewear and loungewear to massive success.

The Macy’s collection was originally inspired by Bernstein's everyday style, and included mix-and-match suiting, puff-sleeved dresses, pants, skirts, tops and bodysuits, in a range of solid colors, floral prints, pinstripes and more. Moreover, the collection offered size-inclusive options with all pieces priced affordably under $100. The collection reportedly amassed over $13 million in sales.

Similarly, up-coming ready-to-wear collections will consist of about 24 pieces and will be offered in sizes 00 to 16, at an affordable price point. It has also been revealed that she will collaborate with Onia, a familiar New York-based fashion company, to help design and manufacture her higher-priced swimsuits, denim and overalls.

“I made the decision to bring Danielle Bernstein in-house in order to have more quality control, more direct access to my customers and customer service, to really bring both my brands under one roof and to introduce Danielle Bernstein to more retailers,” Bernstein told Forbes.

“My goal has always been to just create great work, have great working relationships with my team and to give credit where credit is due.”

The news follows a slew of negative headlines in the last year, where Bernstein was accused of copying designers and fellow content creators. She is currently battling a lawsuit with The Great Eros, a Brooklyn-based lingerie brand who claims that the influencer stole their tissue paper design to use on swimsuits.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg with dozens of other designers and former employees now sharing similar stories with other media outlets. Bernstein has remained fairly quiet on the matter and continues to share fashion content on Instagram and most recently, TikTok.

On Instagram, Bernstein has over 2.5 million followers, while on TikTok she has a community of over 30,000.
