Jewelry designer David Yurman will open a new flagship for his eponymous brand in New York City. Located on 57th Street and Madison Avenue, the new store  is set to open sometime during the second half of 2019 and will replace the brand's current flagship elsewhere on Madison Ave.

The new store will stretch over 5,000 square feet across three floors, and include the brand's high jewelry, women's, men's, wedding and watch categories. Full David Yurman collections, including bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings featuring diamonds, pearls, and gemstones, as well as Swiss-crafted timepieces, will be displayed throughout the store.

The new location's interior design will be led by the brand's Chief Creative Officer Evan Yurman, who chose to use decor inspired by the family's transition from art – the brand's co-founders, David and Sybil Yurman, began their creative careers in sculpture and painting – to jewelry. The flagship will also feature in-store tech to benefit shoppers.

"57th Street was a natural choice," said David Yurman, who serves as the brand's chief executive officer as well as its co-founder. "We are on one of the greatest shopping streets in the world – it attracts an international customer and is on par with the prestigious shopping destinations around the world."

The new flagship will take the place of what is currently a Chanel boutique. As the previous New York David Yurman store closes, the brand will officially have two New York flagships – 57th Street and Madison as well as Prince and Greene in SoHo.
