Cook first joined the company on November 4.

As CMO, Cook will be responsible for the company's marketing, e-commerce, advertising, CRM, communications, creative, events, and strategic partnership divisions. She will serve on the executive leadership team and report to James Marcum, who was named as David’s Bridal’s new chief executive officer this past June.

Cook comes to the role with over two decades of marketing and e-commerce experience, previously serving as executive vice president of marketing and chief marketing officer at Pier 1. In the role, she led all strategic business performance for pier1.com and across all functional disciplines of marketing including creation of data analytics and insights COE and a digital innovation lab.

Prior to Pier 1, she has also held roles as chief marketing officer at Kmart and as executive vice president and chief marketing officer at DSW, among other executive roles.

“[Cook] is a true marketing leader, with a strong understanding of the customer, deep technical expertise in digital transformation and IT, and a talent in building brands," said Marcum.

"Her background is ideally suited to lead the team into our next phase of growth, and we're excited about the possibilities ahead."

The appointment marks the latest executive addition to the bridal company, following Marcum’s appointment in June and the July addition of Bob Walker as chief field operations and store experience officer and Jeff Warzel as chief supply chain officer.
