Emerisque Italia Group (EIG) completes its retail team with the appointment of Michael Specht as global retail manager. EIG is the new Emerisque Brands private equity firm. Emerisque Brands groups together the Italian brands that it bought in 2013: MCS (ex-Marlboro Classics) and the Industries Sportswear Company (ISC) group, holder of the Marina Yachting and Henry Cotton's brands, as well as the 18CRR81 Cerruti license.

These labels, positioned in the informal and accessible luxury segment, are present in 40 countries via more than 400 directly managed monobrand retail points, franchises and e-commerce sites. Michael Specht, based at the EIG HQ in Mestre, Venice, will be in charge of supervising this network destined to increase by 20% in 2015, the company stated in a press release.

The 52-year-old German executive has extensive experience in the retail sector. He has notably worked for Puma, where he held the same manager position for global retail from 2006 to 2009, for VF Corp, and for Starbucks.
