FashionCan is making a return on February 28 and March 1 at Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre. The runway event for leading and emerging Canadian designers was launched just last year, following the cancelation of Toronto’s official fashion week.

For a second season, the event organized by the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards (CAFA) will present some of Canada’s top fashion designers Fall/Winter 2017 collections.

“FashionCAN not only offers our designers a wonderful opportunity to showcase their latest collections but it also provides them with a very meaningful platform for exposure and for sales,” says CAFA President, Vicky Milner, in a news statement.

“We had tremendous response to the last FashionCAN from both designers and fashion enthusiasts with a clear desire to support local talent,” adds Lucia Connor, Yorkdale’s Marketing Director.

Tara Rivas of TMR will kick off the runway show on February 28th at 4 pm, while designer Ifigenia Papadimitriou from Lamarque will kick-off day two. Other featured designers include Mikhael Kale, Jennifer Torosian, Whitney Linen, Sentaler, Rudsak, Lamarque, Narces, UNTTLD and more.

Once again, the FashionCAN Pop Up shop will also be on site and will allow designers to merchandize and sell direct to consumers inside the shopping centre.
