Canadian lifestyle brand Frank And Oak is celebrating International Women’s Day by teaming up with cartoonist Liana Finck on an exclusive t-shirt collection.

The line dubbed ‘Nice’ includes three limited edition t-shirt designs featuring Finck’s drawings, which offer her unique and highly relatable perspective on women’s experiences today.

The artist, best recognized from her New Yorker illustrated advice column “Dear Pepper”, created exclusive illustrations for the collaboration showcasing her take on the pressures and experiences of women today.

One of the designs, for example, depict the cliché stereotypes women are often assigned; Bossy, Prude, Sensitive, etc., in Finck’s signature style featuring sketched figures.

“For me, drawing has always felt like shouting the things from your mind you wanted to say for a while. It’s speaking in a language you were born with, rather than taught, it feels like the purest form of self-expression,” Finck said.

The illustrations were printed on Frank And Oak’s essential tee, a classic crewneck style with a slightly boxy cut, made from 100 percent organic cotton.

The collection launched this week online and in 17 Frank And Oak stores, ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8.

Founded in 2012, Frank And Oak launched as an e-commerce-only brand for men. The company has since expanded into brick-and-mortar, as well as into womenswear with the launch of its first women’s collection in fall 2016.
