German textile company Fashion Concept GmbH has announced a new partnership with Jeremy Meeks, the man who achieved his fame on the internet thanks to his model-worthy mugshot.

The company, which said it focuses on using sustainable materials and promoting investment in new technologies within the international textile trade industry, announced that it has signed a $15 million deal with Meeks, which will see the convict-turned-model to develop his own brand.

Although the company emphasized its commitment to environmentally-friendly fashion, the relationship between the production of new goods for Meeks’ brand and Fashion Concept’s goal of setting ‘new standards for sustainability’ was not expanded upon.

Meeks earned the title of ‘hot felon’ when a mugshot from his arrest in 2014, which came as a result of a weapons sweep in Stockton, California, went viral online.

With media outlets and social media users fawning over his piercing blue eyes, tear-drop face tattoo and chiseled features, Meeks signed a much-anticipated modeling contract with White Cross Management in March of 2015. He currently has 1.6 million followers on Instagram

Fashion Concept GmbH also said it plans to purchase further textile brands in 2020.
